With the Inspiration Elevator Manual, we therefore propose the design thinking methodology as an innovative approach that can substantially enhance youth work by creative perspective taking. We believe that the framework of design thinking is a recipe to not only increase the quality of youth work, but it also has the power to generate positive social impact altogether.
The manual reflects this innovative approach, and includes creative, future-oriented and experiential elements for youth workers to apply in their daily work with different target groups at risk. To offer “not just another manual” to youth workers, it also has an interactive nature, enriched with links to inspiring videos, QR-codes and other valuable resources that were selected to introduce youth workers to the design thinking methodology.
